Governor Schwarzenegger has a telephone poll where you can give an opinion on a couple of hot topics. The two that were interesting to me where on gay marriage and driver's licenses for illegal immigrants. This takes less than a minute, but you have to call back for each topic.

On the phone tree, press in order:
Press #5 for "Current Hot Issues."
Press #1 for Same Gender Marriage.
or Press #2 for undocumented immigrants obtaining a driver's license.

The main number itself is the joe schmoe line for the governer's office. The main tree lets you put in requests to schedule apts, request a visit or make a general comment. Under #5 hot issues, there were a half dozen. One was on education (I think funding for higher ed, but I don't remember), 2 were on issues named by the bill number. I was intending to call back and get the numbers and look them up. The last was on the budget, I think. It looks like this is going to be a standard "voice your opinion" phone number, so I guess I'll be making regular calls to sacramento. Anyone who remembers more clearly than I do, please feel free to correct me.
