I don't actually think signing things like this really helps. It's not just the open letter format, it's also that what is being asked goes against the corporate model. Corporations aren't people. Holding them to the same standards as individuals doesn't work. On the other hand, Jon Stewart had a point when he said that on his show they label what they do as "for entertainment." Arguably, CNBC should do the same, although that isn't what the open letter is requesting.
