One of my favorite things to do anymore is release books into the wild. Very rarely does anyone who finds a wild book go to the website and makes a journal entry about it. But the fact that so many thousands of other people besides me leave books in random places around the world gives me hope on gloomy days. It's also one more reason to turn off the tv and pick up a book instead. Today I released "prodigal summer" by barbara kingsolver. It talks a lot about sex: animal sex, forest sex, moth sex, people sex, goat sex. It's not destined to become one of my all time favorites. Still, it's an incredibly worthwhile read. I hope whoever finds it enjoys it.
