Are you still the god of fixing small appliances? Because my espresso machine needs to have its frother fixed. With my luck, you are probably now the god of floating in swimming pools. However, if you now the god of bending rebar into tent poles, I've got about 8 pieces that could use some help.
I'm just wondering how a frother "goes bad", I mean, don't you just have to clean it out once in a while? Or are you one of who ... well, never mind. And just go ahead, drop a coffee reference in there just to tantalize me. Mean. :-)
But yup, I've been the god of chlorine and swimming pools and laying in the Summer sun today and pretty much all weekend... lucky the back yard has so much privacy, if you know what I mean.
Hmm, tent poles - you're getting me thinking about camping in the Angeles Forest before the Summer ends.
I cleaned the frother! Granted, you'll never hear me brag about being a clean freak but I'm not gross. Geesh. It still works sorta but it just doesn't have any umph to the steaming. Lately, I've been drinking my coffee iced to get around the lack of a frother.
As for tent poles, they are for Burning Man. (http://www.burningman.org) It's my first time going. I'm very excited *jumping up and down*
If you go camping in the Angeles Forest, I wouldn't mind hearing about where you go. My best friend and I both backpacked as kids. We have a plot to get back into it.
Now get back out there and "float" a couple laps for me.
You're going to Burning Man? Can I be officially jealous, jealous to the point of physical action (whatever that means)? I've been wanting to go for years now, but I always seem to get work during the time Burning Man happens, so many of my friends have gone and told me about the wonderful "bohemian" experiences they've had there, and the photos they bring back tell it all. Which leads me to the order - take pictures and share! ;-) Did you have to spend a ton of money to get tickets? I heard they're outrageous this year. Tell me everything.
This is my first year going to BM. I guess that's really because this is the first year I've had friends (marcee and floorida)) that wanted to go that I believe will be easy to travel with. We didn't quite commit to going until rather late, so we missed out on getting cheap tickets. I vaguely recall mine cost $235. But the preparation can be rather expensive if you don't already have equipment that will hold up on the playa. No worries about the pix. There will definitely be plenty. floorida is a web designer and is our official photographer. On saturday, the three of us got together to make schwag for the event. Here is our first official BM picutre: http://www.bluesunsa.com/personal/soapy.jpg
You're probably the first person I've ever known who makes soap to go someplace. Mmm at first I thought "candy!", but now I realize you just want to keep atleast an iota of civility when you're at Burning Man. And you'll need it - I've camped in death valley and joshua tree in the heat and the wind, and I get dirty in cracks and crevices I didn't even know I had! I poked around your friend's site, and she takes pretty fun pictures, I can't wait to see what you bring back from Burning Man. You are going to have fun.
