it's too quiet around here

I've pretty much stopped listening to music these last couple of years. I hate the classical stuff that J likes to play and he hates the weird blend of rock/pop/folk that I mostly listen to. And I don't commute any more, so I just stopped. I feel out of touch. Anyway, I decided to go check out Arcade Fire because they won a grammy and Canadian indie band sound like something I might like. I was going to do something like listen to some clips and maybe buy something, but the first link that popped up for them had a special "buy our grammy winning album for $3.50 download." So I did.

Curious if you ended up liking Arcade Fire. I don't have their latest album, but I do like the couple of tracks I've heard on the radio.

Hmm, rock/pop/folk you say .... Have you heard The Fleet Foxes, Reading Rainbows, Dum Dum Girls, Jose Gonzales ..... I feel compelled to someday make you a sample CD as I love sharing some of the new bands I've come across these past few months.
